Photoshop CS5 Hands-On Preview for Photographers

Like most of the Photoshop gurus and folks like me who run Photoshop-centric sites, Bob Johnson was part of the beta testing for Photoshop CS5. H's posted his impressions as part of his blog on EarthBound Light.

re: Photoshop CS5 Hands-On Preview for Photographers

Is he for real?  The two most important innovations completely dismissed as not being for real photographers.  Content-aware fill is marvellous for filling in bits that are missing due to using rotation, perspective correction, etc. - see the Russel Brown video.  Puppet-warp is brilliant for correcting distortions such as volume anamorphosis when using ultra wide angle lenses.

He does come across as having a very high opinion of himself.

In his defense, Mr. Johnson

In his defense, Mr. Johnson is an avid landscape photographer and his site views photogrpahy from THAT perspective. He probably has little use for puppet warp or content-aware fill. Neither do those who value his opinion.
