Excellent site
I find the Xequals site to be an excellent site with informative videos bereft of the juvenile self-aggrandizing you see from Kelby and his backslapping self-important cohorts
Nice to see...
...someone shares my opinions on Kelby and Kids. Have to watch it though...I've been mildly chastised for saying what I think on this subject since it bothers at least one person's sensibilities.(someone putting $s in Kelby's pocket)
No, you're not alone.
No, you're not alone. Xequals.com seem to be the anti-thesis of Kelby and kids. They are not forever talking about themselves or their 'amazing' friends. No schmaltzy schtick like Dr. Russell Brown. There's no ego. Just a sincere desire to share useful knowledge without the concerns of shareholders or allied business groups put to the forefront.
Watching Kelby and kids I can't help but imagine what is going on at Adobe. In Photoshop mag they can't help but drool over the 'significant can't-live-without upgrades which cost about a third of the price of the original product. Adobe makes a fine product but the 'support; is naseauting. They sell you the product and then forever milk you with NAPP membership, additional training, costly upgrades, plug-in programs from their 'friends'...
Xequals? they just take get on with the business of taking photos and sharing their insight in to the programs they need.
ok - rant over.

FYI Mitch - there is an interesting tutorial in Xequals about converting Lightroom presets in to Adobe Camera raw presets.
Not climbing on the bandwagon, but...
I share the sentiment. Xequls is one of my frequent destinations. High on content; low on ego. On too many sites, the quality of the content is diminished by the level of the ego, and I get awfully tired filtering that out to get to the content!!

I guess I must be missing it. I don't see it in my RSS feed, which goes back to March. ;)
