Pixel Bender Released By Adobe Labs

Expect lots of new filters for Photoshop

John Nack announced on his Adobe Photoshop blog that Pixel Bender has been released by Adobe Labs. This is an exciting new technology that should result in a big increase in filters for Photoshop CS4 and beyond.

The Pixel Bender Toolkit is a free download. It includes the Pixel Bender kernel language and graph language, the Pixel Bender Toolkit IDE (an integrated development environment for Pixel Bender), sample filters, and documentation. There is also a Pixel Bender forum on Adobe Labs, too.

The same filters will work on Flash 10 and Adobe After Effects CS4.
