Mastering Landscape Photography

Alain Briot has written some very interesting essays for Michael Reichmann's site: The Luminous Landscape. Mastering Landscape Photography: The Luminous Landscape Essays is more inspirational than technical.

There are thirteen essays in this book that discuss how to visualize, craft, present, and market prints from fine-art landscape photographs. It also contains a collection of Alain Briot's stunning landscape work.

If you're looking for a book that focuses on technical details, you'll likely find this book wordy and maybe even boring. That's really not the focus of the book and certainly not where Alain's strength lies. On the other hand, if you are looking for practical advice on visualization, composition, and the aesthetics of landscape photography so that you'll be read to craft your own memorable landscape photographs, then you'll likely read and reread Mastering Landscape Photography: The Luminous Landscape Essays.
