Easy HDR Technique

EasyHDRTechnique.png

Abduzeedo, a graphic artist oriented site, has published a reader tutorial. Personally, I find the title a bit misleading. This tutorial is not really about HDR at all. It's about an over-the-top look that some people like and associate with HDR.

I use HDR software, but I find the gritty, over-saturated look that passes as HDR these days to be trite now. I tend to react to these images now with a "Yet again!?" feeling.

Still, the author does demonstrate how to create a faux-HDR effect using a combination of Lightroom and Photoshop.
