Steven Snell has compiled a list of sixt Photoshop actions that are especially helpful for making minor touch-ups and retouches to portraits. You'll find cross-processing, lomography, soft focus, split toning, and other popular effects.

Obsidian Dawn has released a free set of Photoshop & GIMP brushes for various alchemy symbols. These are all vectors at very high resolution, about 2000 pixels in size.

Been looking for a filmstrip border effect? B&B Filmstrip is a free Photoshop action set from Panos Efstathiadis. Not only will it give your photographs a film edge border, you can even apply a concave or convex effect. There are sepia and negative film effects, too. Sean McCormack has released a Lightroom 2 preset collection called LRB Dragan. It's advertised as a Dragan-like effect. To be honest, I don't really see it as even remotely a Dragan-effect (more like a film cross-processing effect), but there are some interesting grunge-effect possibilities.

I saw this free Photoshop brush set and immediately throught of grunge-effects and vintage photo effects. Anywhere you need a grungy, greasy fingerprint. There are 25 free fingerprint brushes in this collection.
